his is a non commercial website promoting the private sale by the owners of two quality rural properties situated in the Central S.W. region of France on the very pretty and unspoilt Charente / Haute Vienne border.

Usually in France two charges are added...

• Estate Agents fees - usually between 5 to 10% of the asking price, and
• Notaires Fees - usually 6 to 8 %  of the selling price.

The Notaires fee is a government tax and cannot be avoided, think of it as solicitors fees and stamp duty, however the Estate Agents fee can be avoided if you buy direct from the owner. It is quite normal in France to buy and sell properties privately through the Office of the Notaire as all the paperwork is handled by the Notaire anyway.

If you are interested in either La Vergne or La Courtaudie you have direct contact with the owner and we use an English speaking Notaire who can also be contacted directly if desired.

Comprehensive details of the properties will be provided including all the legally required reports. Local accommodation can be arranged if required.
