new era in waxed cotton….Not only is this waxed cotton durable and water repellent it can be washed, does not have a “sticky Hand” unlike traditional waxed cottons. This newly developed synthetic wax has a “drier hand” than traditional wax finishes plus it can be washed like a regular Tilley Hat. A quick machine dry every few washes will restore the water repellent finish. With its waxed finish, the more you wear it, handle it and crush it the more weathered it becomes making each Tilley Outback Hat unique to its owner and the adventures taken.
