ormer Kirriemuir organiser, David Reid is taking over the role as organiser of the popular Scottish one day event, Brechin Castle in Angus (5th May 2012).
David has been chief steward of Brechin Castle for the past ten years and is looking forward to taking on this much loved local event which has a loyal band of local riders and Eventing fans. David hopes to gain the support of the local businesses for fence sponsorship and prizes in kind.
For those who have not competed at Brechin before, the event runs at BE90, BE100 and Novice level with fantastic level grass fields for parking, dressage and showjumping areas with direct access from the A90. The cross country course, was initially designed by Captain Mark Philips, is an excellent ‘first time’ course.
For spectators wishing to enjoy some good old fashioned Scottish hospitality, why not visit this friendly event and enjoy this popular action packed horse sport in the surroundings of the spectacular Angus countryside.
