
risport Italy recorded record sales figures in 2011 as exports across Europe increased to record levels & sales in Italy rose to well over 1 million pairs in the domestic market. As a result, at its peak, Grisport were producing 20,000 pairs of boots & shoes per day.
To cope with the forecasted demand in 2012, as consumers look increasingly towards European made walking brands, Grisport have opened a fourth upper factory & training school, taking the global workforce to over 2,000 employees.
2012 also looks to be an exciting year in the UK, as our new collection has been designed in conjunction with a British design agency who has previously worked with some of the top UK outdoor brand names.
Our figures show that more customers than ever used our in-stock service in 2011. In an effort to once again improve our service for 2012, we plan to increase our in-stock service from its current level of 25,000 pairs to a level of 32,000 pairs. Hopefully most of this programme will be in place by Easter.
GRS sign new distribution agreement with ‘Goodyear’
We are delighted to announce that we have signed a new distribution agreement with the ‘Goodyear Tyre & Rubber Company’ of the USA to distribute ‘Goodyear’ branded footwear in the UK & Ireland.
Founded in 1898, Goodyear sales measure $20 billion globally and the ‘Goodyear Blimp’ is recognised as being among the world’s most recognised brand icons.
This collection complements our existing brands by giving us a superb new range of ‘Goodyear’ branded products for men in areas such as wellingtons, muck boots, slippers, sports sandals, fashion & comfort footwear as well as leisurewear.
The new range will be with your normal GRS representative soon & we will mail the new brochure to all existing customers over the next few months.
